Check it Out

Even though I’m not knitting much these days, the multi-size, multi-gauge toe-up sock pattern that I worked on earlier this summer got posted on the Quince & Co website yesterday. It's included with the patterns for each of the five Quince yarns. Buy the pattern—I’m buying a lot of gas these days to visit my parents.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your good wishes where my parents are concerned. Both and stable and on the road to recovery. We’ve arranged for my mother to visit my father today—it will do them both a world of good.

Ann, you and your parents will be in my prayers. I can't believe your father still was riding a bike that far at his age. I hope they can be together as they go through rehab. Take care.

Good luck with your parents' health and recovery. My mom is 81, healthy, living on her own (4 minutes away) but I worry like crazy about her. It just takes these accidents to see how frail they could be. Wishhiing your family all the best.

Ann,
I am sorry it was your father in the bike accident I just read about. I met you in the hallway walking with him the other day (friday). Please have him do as much deep breathing as he can without going into pain! Slow deep breaths frequently. And walking too. The risk of pnuemonia is high with broken ribs and he can help prevent it with deep breathing and walking. I am a knitter AND as respiratory therapist!! Take care of yourself as well and I wish both your parents speedy recoveries. Best, Lisa Coash

I haven't been here in a bit. Will pray for your parents and you. It is very difficult when these things occur. Keep on taking one day at a time. Some days it may be better to take one hour at a time.
